Sixth Graders Take Part in Florida Adventures

Back in September, the Class of 2029 took a trip around Florida to visit classic must-see spots like Kennedy Space Center, Magic Kingdom, Tree Trek High Ropes Course, and Medieval Times, a sixth grade tradition that has been going on since 2014.

The purpose of the trip is for the kids to have a chance to bond and form relationships with others as they enter their new school year at Tampa Prep. They engage in activities that have kids talk to new people and give them a chance to have fun with people who they may not have interacted with otherwise.

“I’d say [the trip] was worth it… I had a lot of fun spending time with my friends,” sixth grader Robert Vlad said.

The Class of 2029 had the privilege of experiencing new and fun things alongside their classmates. They slept under a space shuttle, and got to witness a knight winning for the first time at Medieval Times, a dinner theater experience outside Orlando.

“It’s a great opportunity for the kids,” middle school math teacher AJ Hendrix said. “I have been going on this trip for the past few years, and will continue to.”
