Corona Virus, also known as COVID-19, has stopped the world completely and left people stuck at home. As people can go out during the pandemic until a certain time in the evening, many people are staying home due to the risk of possibly getting it from someone else. Also due to this virus, many businesses are forced to close to keep their colleagues safe. This means gyms are closed leaving many people like me stuck at home figuring out things to do to stay fit. Here are five things that you can do to keep yourself feeling great.

The first thing is what I have been doing since we have been stuck in our houses, which is running. This is probably one of the easiest things to do to stay fit while being in quarantine. Since staying at home can make you feel sluggish and tired, running is one of the healthiest ways to stay active at this very moment. Going for a run every day can help improve your sleep and overall mood. So if you are having a bad day at home, go for a run, it’ll definitely make you feel better sweating out all of those emotions. I go for a run every day and I can say that it definitely helps me with my overall mood and makes it easier to fall asleep.

Maybe you don’t want to go outside and run. However, you can definitely stay inside and do other things to stay active and healthy. One thing that you can do every day to improve your strength is push ups. This is a good workout to do for your upper body, specifically your triceps and pectoral muscles. Doing around 50 to 75 a day will definitely keep you in shape. Now you don’t have to do this all in one sitting, you can do them throughout the day so you don’t hurt yourself. You can do 25 in the morning, afternoon, and evening to reach your goal. Doing this every day will definitely help you with your strength in the long run.

Another simple workout that you can do is sit-ups. Like push ups, this is another simple way to stay fit and build your strength. If you want to come out with a six-pack after quarantine, this is the best way to do it. Sit-ups are by far the best core exercise to do to build strength. The best way to perform this workout at home is to get something heavy and put it on your feet so you can keep your feet on the ground and do it the right way. Doing around 50 to 100 sit-ups a day will definitely keep you feeling great. Some people can’t handle doing it every day though. If you are one of those people I recommend doing them every other day to stay fit.

If you have a pool this next one is a great option if you are willing to jump in some cold water. One workout that is great for working out your whole body is swimming. Doing this for 30 to 45 minutes a day is a great way to burn calories and lose weight. It’s also great for your cardiovascular system. It’s good to swim every day for fitness because it has a low impact on your body. This means that it has less wear and tear on your muscles and joints. So if you don’t like running, this is a great alternative and you can also work on your tan.

Finally, the last workout that you can do during quarantine is biking. This is another great alternative if you don’t want to swim or run. If you are feeling stressed this is a great way to relive it. As it’s good to distress yourself, it is also good to strengthen your bones and muscles. Riding two miles on your bike is a great way to lose some calories and enjoy the nature around you.

These are some of my favorite ways to work out. Remember that you can get huge health benefits from working out for only 75 minutes a day. Keep in mind that you don’t have to work out for hours. Hopefully, these workouts help you during the quarantine. Always remember to stay safe and healthy.
