Cassidy Bull is one of two new teachers at Tampa Prep this semester. Physics has always been a passion of hers, and she greatly enjoys teaching it.
She has been working as a rowing coach since September stating that she “loved the environment and the kids are great.” Being familiar with the school was a bonus when she joined the science department.
In college, Bull majored in Earth and Planetary Sciences which led her to becoming proficient in physics. Bull considers the “abstract” and “conceptual” points of physics to be the most enticing.
“With physics, since I love to learn it, I also love to teach it,” Bull stated. It’s important that your students can feel the passion that a teacher has for a subject.
Her mother has been an incredible inspiration for Bull’s decision to start teaching. Seeing her mother teach for over twenty years greatly impacted Bull.
Bull grew up watching her mother have a positive effect on her students. Bull said, “to even have the opportunity to possibly do the same feels like purpose.”
There are things that Bull says she still has to get used to at Prep like advising and seminar, but overall, being a teacher here has been an enjoyable experience.
