On Feb. 13, the class of 2024 and their dads gathered on campus to celebrate senior year with the Seniors and Dads dinner. Traditionally scheduled as a breakfast, the event was adjusted to be a dinner to accommodate the need for parking amongst the construction on campus.
While the premise of the event stayed the same, the change in time allowed for a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Students didn’t have to leave a breakfast event and immediately start the school day which was an advantage to the change.
Students appreciated not feeling rushed and being able to spend quality time with their dad or guest.
“We got to spend more time together than usual, it was much needed,” senior Horatio Jones said.
Head of School Kevin Plummer was also in attendance and spent time with the students and their family members.
“I can’t even describe how much it brought me and my father closer together! It was an unforgettable experience that we will cherish forever,” senior Chandler White-Brooks said.
Overall, many seniors can agree that they deepened their connections with their fathers.
“It was such an experience to spend time with my friends and their dads,” senior Brianna Porter said.
