‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ Leave Viewers Confused
Once again Netflix has produced another season of ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ and it will have viewers yearning for more. Currently, the show is on its third season and it was a disappointment in the twist and turns this season. Warning for those who have not watched the new season spoilers are ahead.
The show picks off with the Church of Night being disgraced, due to Sabrina and her friends trapping Lucifer in Nicholas Scratch’s body. Lillith has taken over as queen of hell in Lucifer’s absence, while Sabrina battles with her birthrights and her feelings.
Sabrina, Harvey, Roz, and Theo make a plan to go save Nick from hell so that Sabrina can extract Lucifer from Nicks’s body. It becomes an issue when Sabrina declares her birthright as the queen of hell, to prove to the council, the Kings of Hell, that she is mature enough to rule. The council acted in a sexist fashion and appointed their candidate for the throne of hell: Prince Caliban, a man of clay.
Sabrina is required to fight Caliban in the Unholy Regalia, where they will search for the three unholy items to become Queen or King of Hell. While Sabrina is battling Caliban, Aunt Zelda and Hilda, are trying to bring back the Church of Night to its former glory. However, they are stopped by the new opposing threat of the Pagans, who plan to take over Greendale.
Over the past three seasons, Sabrina has been tossing twists and turns. Now that we are in season three the antics and adventures must be amped up. The only problem is the writers are having a problem prolonging a storyline.
At the start of the season, I wished for a long turbulent ride for Sabrina to break Nick out of Hell, but to my dismay, the journey started and ended in the first hour. I wished for more in this season such as for the twins of Father Blackwood. I anticipated a small plotline for them to grow up as babies, instead, I was given two fifteen-year-olds locked away in a dollhouse.
Personally, this season should have been better, but with the crazy unexplained cliffhanger, I’m definitely tuning into next season!
