Following the Buccaneers versus the Packers game and the Chiefs versus the Bills game on Sunday Jan. 24, the stage for the Super Bowl has been finalized. With a victory over the Packers for the Bucs and a victory for the Chiefs, the Super Bowl will have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs.

With the victory over the Packers, the Bucs were able to accomplish a feat no other team in history has done before. The Bucs will be the first team to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium. When the Super Bowl is being hosted in a team’s home stadium the farthest a team has made it in the playoffs is to the Divisional Championship Round.

Led by Tom Brady, the Bucs were able to complete the season with an 11-5 record throughout the regular season. They entered the playoffs as a 5 seed and have made their way through the playoffs. They started their playoff run in the Wild Card round with a win over the Washington Football Team and then made their way through the playoffs by defeating the New Orleans Saints and finally beating the Packers in the Divisional Championship Game.

Behind the young superstar, Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs were able to make it back to the Super Bowl for the second year in a row. With a bye in the first round of the playoffs for being the best team in the AFC, the American Football Conference, the Chiefs were easily able to work their way through the playoffs. With a close victory over the Cleveland Browns and by defeating the Buffalo Bills, the Chiefs are headed to the Super Bowl.

If the Bucs win, they will make history as the first team to win a Super Bowl in their home stadium. For the Chiefs, they also hope to make history by joining an elite group of teams who have previously won the Super Bowl two years in a row.

Will the hometown Buccaneers come out on top and create history, or will the Kansas City Chiefs go down as Super Bowl Champions for the second year in a row. That will be decided late in the night on Feb. 7.
